Dr. Subir Bikas Mitra is a National Scholar with MBA, MA,LL.M; Ph.D. in Strategic HRM and also Ph.D.(Law) in ADR Mechanism. He has authored numerous research papers/ articles published in various reputed journals. He had an overall experience of more than 37 years. Former Executive Director (Law & HR) in GAIL (India) Limited and Former Director in GAIL Gas Limited (wholly owned subsidiary of GAIL). Presently, Advisor (Law) in GAIL (India) Limited (a Maharatna PSU) andDirectorate General of Hydrocarbons, Government of India. He has been strongly associated with following professional institutions in various capacities: UPSC: Member of Interview Board, ICA, FICCI: Associate Member of Governing Council and Member of Arbitration Committee, CII: Member of Task Force for Judicial reforms in the country and also Member of HR Committee (NR), SCOPE: Chairman, Legal Standing Committee comprising legal heads of the PSUs, Member of Steering Committee on RTI and Member of Governing Body of SCOPE Forum of Conciliation & Arbitration (SFCA), FICL (Federation of Indian Corporate Lawyers): Honorary President, APCCA (Asia Pacific Corporate Counsel Association): Chairman, Steering Committee, ISTD: Member, National Council and also Chairman, Committee on Innovative Trading Practices Award and National HRD: Life Member.
